Semi-Finalist at the UK Songwriting Contest 2009 with 2 songs (I am strong , Waiting for relief)
JD's songs "I am strong" and "Waiting for relief" ended as semi-finalists at the UK Songwriting contest 2009 in the category pop. Chosen from almost 6000 entries they've made it that far. JD feels a little proud of it... :-)
Certificate for "Waiting for relief" JD Wood and Band had the great opportunity to support Paul Carrack and his band at a show in Aschaffenburg/Germany and made the best of it. The house was packed and their show was a full success. Even JD Wood didn’t have more than 30 minutes to prove his skills as a singer and entertainer the audience loved the songs and the way they were performed.
