Closing Words for 2008 - Del Boland - Blue Muse Publishing, Inc:
"This brings me to the final business of 2008 which is announcing the winner of the 2008 Blue Muse Award for Songwriter of the Year. There are mixed emotions involved in the recognition for this award. I am mostly excited at the prospects for this artist.
However, I am also sensitive to many others who deserve recognition for their hard work and talent.
I can only say that it is a tough decision, but I believe it was a fair decision.
Without further preface, I am proud to announce JD Wood as the Blue Muse 2008 Songwriter of the Year. JD will receive an engraved award trophy. A photo of the trophy will be posted to the Awards Page on Blue Muse next week.
In addition to the award, JD’s music has been submitted to the U.S. Copyright Office for protection, compliments of Blue Muse Publishing, Inc. Blue Muse Publishing will also release JD’s new cd entitled, “In My Dreams” early in 2009. This music will be promoted independently through a variety of sources.
However, BMP will simultaneously solicit interest from corporate sponsors, synchs for film and tv, and deals from larger publishers and labels on behalf of JD. I wish JD the best of luck in 2009 for this exciting collection of songs."

Review of JD Wood - In my dreams by C. W. Ross
In late 2008 JD Wood’s music was discovered by Blue Muse Publishing and on January 2009 they honored him with their, ‘Best Songwriter 2008′ award. They also signed him and work begun on his first musical project resulting in the album, In My Dreams, that has a March 15, 2009 scheduled release date.
As you listen to Wood’s music you’ll hear the many different style elements found in each of the songs. Everything from adult contemporary, singer-songwriter, and jazz, to pop and rock can be found in them. Wood’s excellent piano playing and vocals that are passion filled and come across as from the heart, with a real honesty to them, drive the songs. The main theme found in the songs is that of love and relationships and all of the many different forms that can take from love found and love lost, to love lost and then re-found again.
My favorite songs from In My Dreams are, “Come and Tell,” with its funky beginning guitar and drums parts. “Time is Ticking,” that starts out with the sound of a clock ticking that’s quickly joined by a lively electric guitar. This song is also the most up-tempo song found on the release with its classic rock sound. Last, but not least, is “I Am Strong,” a piano lead pop edged song that features a nice steady drumbeat. Thanks to the well thought out song construction and arrangements this album has that little bit extra that pushes it to the next level of quality music. As I listened to In My Dreams I kept saying to myself, ‘that’s interesting, that’s different.’ With In My Dreams JD Wood comes out of the starting gate at full speed and shows that he has the musical talent to go as far as he wants with it.
